i find its hard not to think of

i fear i may have waited far too long
incomparable to what was once considered:
just enough for a month to settle in
waiting in the spring
where the sun begins
to shine a new light on faces made to light the skyline
is it possible that maybe i was right?
simply blinded by my hopes and dreams alike
i feel so weary now, from this constant stress
a foolish task to think that i could do it in the end
